I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who is passionate about working with individuals experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression and grief.  I strive to create a safe place for clients to feel heard, accepted, respected, validated and supported.  I love working with adolescents, teenagers and young adults and have a background as an educator and as a school-based therapist.  Before joining Magnolia Counseling of Pearland, I worked in a high school setting, providing crisis counseling, group therapy (anxiety,/depression, grief and yoga ) and trauma therapy utilizing evidence based interventions to meet each client’s unique needs.  I am trained in EMDR, ART (accelerated resolution therapy) and I am also a certified yoga teacher, RYT 200. My core approach is trauma informed and person centered.  Person centered emphasizes the client-therapist relationship and the client’s role in healing, change and growth, however I also use other modalities such a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) , mindfulness and solution focused therapy. I am committed to creating a therapeutic environment where my clients feel empowered to achieve their goals.

My work is solution focused and trauma informed, implementing behavioral analysis and behavior modification with considerations of early childhood and human development. My therapeutic practice includes expressive arts and dance and movement therapy to help uncover underlying causes and gain better awareness and insight for long-term change.
